In most cases, we will need at least two documents to verify your status. The accepted documents will depend on the position.
If you are a guide working for an outfitter the documents below are accepted:
- Copy of Guide License with your name and valid expiration date on it, or membership in state/province guide association (if your State requires one)
- First Aid card with a valid expiration date (accepted only in combination with a valid guide license)
- Recent pay stub from your outfitter, no more than 6 months old (feel free to cover any sensitive data)
- Official, signed and dated letter from your employer stating your hunting/fishing guide position, no more than 1 month old (handwritten letters not written on official business letterhead are not accepted)
- Email from the outfitter to insiders@guidefitter.com stating you are an active guide.
- US Forest Service or BLM permit with your name shown
- An active, or copyright with the current year, website promoting the Outfitting Business with your name shown
If you are the outfitter, any two of the following are accepted
- Copy of current year outfitter license (if your state requires one)
- Current year-dated brochure promoting your hunting/fishing business with trip prices
- Proof of Business Insurance with a valid expiration date on it
- US Forest Service or BLM permit
- Copy of a recent client contract or invoice showing the name of the client, the signature of the client, and the date
- An active, or copyright with the current year, website or Facebook page promoting the Outfitting Business with your name shown
Document requirements will vary by category and by individual brand. Some may accept a First Aid Card as a valid form of documentation while others will not. Keep in mind that each brand sets its own vetting requirements as far as documents go. While we have a great understanding as to what is valid on a state-to-state basis, we are always continuing to learn and will do our best to get you verified!
