Do I qualify?

Do I qualify for any of the insider categories that Guidefitter offers? First off, Guidefitter is partnered with around 350+ brands that all have different requirements for who they will allow into their pro programs. Here at Guidefitter, we try to find the common ground between all of our brand partners to have a set list of documents that each insider must provide to join the brands' pro programs. Guidefitter also tries to find common ground on what professions we can accept into the insider programs! So let's take a look at the categories!

Guides & Outfitters

This category is specifically set up for anyone that works in professional hunting or fishing-related fields. This includes Hunting and Fishing Guides, Hunting and Fishing Outfitters, Packers, Fishing Charter Captains, and Hunting/Fishing Lodge Owners. Your profession depends on which category you will fall under for signing up and what documents we will require from you to show that you are actively and legally working in that field. If you are the Outfitter or own the Guide Service, we will require documentation that can connect your name as the owner of the business and show that your business is currently up and running. Some of the documents that we can accept are;

• Current Outfitter/Guide's License (if your state requires one)
• a copy of current year liability insurance / Proof of Business Insurance
• Active US Forest Service and/or BLM permits
• current membership in state/province guide/outfitter association
• an active website promoting the Outfitting Business with your name shown 

If you work for a provider of hunting/fishing services we have to show that you are legally allowed to be doing that profession in the state you are working and show that you are active. Some of the documents that we can accept are;

• Copy of current season Guide/Outfitter License (if your state requires one)
• Copy of current year liability insurance / Proof of Business Insurance
• Recent pay stub in the last 60 days. Tax information from the previous year will not work.
• Official signed and dated letter from your employer stating your hunting/fishing guide position no longer than 30 days from the current date.
• Email from your outfitter to [e-mail] confirming your guide position with them for the upcoming season.
• Current Membership in state/province guide association
• An active website promoting the Outfitting Business with your name shown (no social media)
  

Military

This category is specifically set up for anyone that is currently on Active Duty, Active Reserves, National Guard, Veteran, or Retired. We do not have approval from the brand partners to verify anyone that is a civilian military contractor unless you are a veteran or retired military. These stipulations are agreed upon by the brands, along with the type of documentation we can accept to verify your insider account. If you are on Active Duty, in the Reserves, or National Guard here are some of the documents we can accept below;

• A letter with an official header and signed by your superior, attesting to your affiliation
• A recent pay stub (LES) issued in the last 60 days
  
• Send an email from your Military issued email, to [e-mail] with your name and the email you used to sign up for Guidefitter.

If you are a Veteran or Retired Military we will require different documentation to verify your insider account. Some examples of the documentation we can accept will be as follows;

• DD214 member-4 with the character of service displayed (feel free to cover any sensitive data)
• Veterans/Retired ID
• VA ID Card
• Driver's license with Veterans status
• Any other formal document you think we could use as proof of your veteran or retired status
  

First Responders

This category is set up to provide discounts for LEO, Retired Leo, Fire, Retired Fire, EMS (EMT/Paramedics/RN), 911 Dispatch, Search & Rescue, and Journeyman Lineman. We understand that there are a lot of professions that could potentially fall under this category, but at this time we only have approval for the professions listed above. We are always working with our brand partners to incorporate new insider groups to add to our First Responders category. If you do not fit just yet, it does not mean that we will not be able to accommodate you in the future! Some examples of the documentation we can accept to verify your account will be as follows;

• First Responder ID issued by the employer with a position and date if possible
• Recent pay stub no more than 2 months old, feel free to cover any sensitive data
• An official letter from your employer no more than 1-month-old
• An email from your department issued email to show you are an employee there. Please make sure to include your email that is associated with your account in the body of the email so we can attach it to the correct profile.

If you are a retired LEO or Fire we will need different documentation to show your retired status.

• Retired First Responder ID
• Any other official document that can show your retired status from the department

Outdoor Government

This category is set up to provide discounts for Conservation Officers, Fish & Game Employees, USFS, BLM, USFW, and NPS. We understand that there are a lot of professions that could potentially fall under this category, but at this time we only have approval for the professions listed above. We are always working with our brand partners to incorporate new insider groups to add to our Outdoor Government Category. Some of the documents that we can accept to verify your insider status are as follows;

• Valid Government Issued ID card
• Recent pay stub (no more than 2 months old)
• An official letter from your employer (no more than 1 month old)
• If you have a Government-issued email address, you can always email us at [e-mail], using this email address, but please make sure to leave your Guidefitter email as a reference.

Brand Employees

This category is set up to provide insider deals for anyone who is a Hunting & Fishing Gear Manufacturer and their Employees & Affiliates. We understand that this could incorporate a lot of groups. However, the requirements are hunting and fishing specific. A manufacturer that produces parts for military use may not be accepted into the program. Below, are some of the documents we can accept to verify your insider status;

• An official  signed and dated letter from your employer (no more than 1-month-old)
• Recent Pay Stub (no more than 2 months old)
• As an alternative, you can always email us at [e-mail], from your company email address, but please make sure to leave your Guidefitter email as a reference

Conservation/NGO Employees

This program is set up to provide discounts for conservation and NGO employees that work for these groups: Ducks Unlimited, RMEF, NWTF, Wild Sheep Foundation, BHA, TRCP, SCI, & many more! We understand that there are many members that belong to these organizations, however, at this time we only have approval from our brand partners to accept insiders that are directly working for these organizations. Some of the organizations have set up programs with Guidefitter to allow members to sign up for Guidefitter discounts. You should reach out to your organization to see if you qualify and the specific process that is set up to get your account approved! The documentation we would need to verify your insider account as an employee of these organizations would be as follows;

• You can send an email from your organization-issued email to [e-mail] You will need to include your name and the email you used to sign up for Guidefitter. That way we can connect it to the correct account 
• Recent pay stub from the organization (no more than 2 months old)

Outdoor Educators

This category is set up to help provide discounts for educators that are working to grow the love of the outdoors (specifically hunting and fishing related). Some of the instructors that we have approval from the brand partners to accept are Hunter's Education, NRA Shotting Instructors, FFF Casting Instructors, USA Archery Coaches, Boy Scout Troop Leaders, and many more! The documents that we would be able to accept are as follows;

• Instructor certification card
• Recent Pay Stub from your employer (no more than 2 months old

Retail Associates & Buyers

This category is set up to provide discounts for Hunting and Fishing specific outdoor retail associates & buyers. We understand that there are a lot of retail shops that do offer hunting/fishing options, however, these retail shops must be hunting and fishing-specific. This program is also not available for pawn shop employees. The documentation that the brand partners require to gain acceptance into their program is as follows;

• An official letter from your employer, that is signed and dated, no more than 1-month-old
• Recent Pay Stub, no more than 2 months old
• A retail Associate ID card
• Send an email to us at [e-mail], from your company email address. Please make sure to leave your Guidefitter email as a reference.

Pro Staff

If you are a member of one of our brand partner's pro staff we can accept you into the program. However, you will only be able to access discounts for that particular brand. You will need to provide documentation that shows you can fit into one of the other insider categories to be able to access discounts for the other brands. The documentation that our brands require to join their pro staff is as follows;

• an email from the brand to [e-mail] stating your pro staff status. The email must be sent directly to Guidefitter and can not be a forwarded email.

Our brand partners agree upon these requirements to have access to their free pro programs.
